AI Chatbot Harm Lawyer

Serving clients throughout PA, NJ, NY, MD and DC. If you or a family member was harmed after using an AI chatbot, you may have a claim. Siddons Law Firm is reviewing these claims now.

Why we ask you to email us first

Chatbot harm claims depend on what was said and what followed: the conversations themselves, the dates, and the medical or counseling records. A phone call cannot confirm those. Email us a short description of what happened, and we will reply with the list of records we need to review your claim.

What the cases are about

These lawsuits are brought against the companies behind AI chatbots. The claims are that the products were built to keep people talking, that they responded badly to users in distress, that they encouraged or failed to discourage self-harm and irrational thinking, that they gave medical or mental health advice they were not fit to give, and that they were open to children without real safeguards.

Who may qualify

  1. The person used an AI chatbot.
  2. The chatbot encouraged or failed to discourage self-harm or irrational thinking, or gave medical or mental health advice that the person acted on.
  3. The person suffered a serious consequence: worsening mental health, emotional dependency, a hospital or facility admission after an attempt, or death.
  4. A minor used the chatbot without meaningful safeguards, or a family was harmed after a chatbot related crisis.

What to send us

  • The name of the app or service and the account used.
  • Screenshots or exports of the conversations. Do not delete the account or the messages.
  • Medical, hospital or counseling records for the period involved.
  • For a death, the death certificate and the name of the county investigating.

One thing to do now

Save the conversations before they are gone. Most services let you export your chat history from the account settings. Do not delete the app.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 in the United States to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
